Judge Beck was appointed to Division 80 in 2003. In his judicial capacity, Judge Beck presides over misdemeanor cases including: driving under the influence (DUI), domestic battery and possession of marijuana less than 20 grams.
Before becoming a Judge, Judge Beck attended the University of Florida for both his undergraduate and law degrees. He is a former local prosecutor and spent many years in private practice in the Daytona Beach area.
